PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a robot which effectively carriers material goods.

SOLUTION: The robot comprises an input unit (60) or a sensor (20) which acquires an instruction for carrying an objective material good from a user, an arithmetic unit (10) for retrieving a position for the objective material good from a material good database (56), and a communication unit (70) for communicating with another robot to obtain the position of the other robot. Furthermore, the arithmetic unit (10) refers to a map data (53) and selects one of the robots that execute the instruction or itself on the basis of the positions of the objective material good and the other robot. The communication unit (70) sends the instruction to the selected robot or executes the instruction by itself.
